Konstantinos G. Chatzikonstantinou was born in Alexandroupolis, Greece in 1963, where he spent his childhood years untill his graduation from Highschool in 1981. He studied Building Construction at Technical University School in Thessaloniki at first and then he continued his studies at Civil Engineers department at the Technical University of Athens specialized as Structural Engineer.

He is working as an independent Civil Engineer from 1989 with big experience in both private and public sector projects.

At the same time he works in the tourism industry as the President of board of “Alexander Beach hotel & spa”, a five stars hotel complex in Alexandroupolis.

He was elected continuously from 1996 til 2020, as President or Vice President at Thrace Hoteliers Association.

He was elected as a member of the board at the Hellenic Hoteliers Federation starting from 2012 till 2020, where he has been the Secretary General.

From 2017 untill now he is elected as a member of the board at the Greek Tourism Confederation (SETE).

During the period 2002-2006 he has been a member of the board at Evros Chamber.

At the same period 2002-2006 he has been a member of the board at the Municipal Tourism Enterprise – TIEDA which operates the local Camping and the Thermal Spa of Traianoupolis.

He has been a member of the board at Alexandroupolis Port Authority during the period 2013-2015. Starting from October 2019 he is the CEO of Alexandroupolis Port Authority.

Starting from 2013 he is a member of the board at the Nautathletic Club of Alexandroupolis (established in 1964) and he is the President of the club at the time being. From 2009 the club organizes the well known annual international sailing event “NOA Regatta” with big success.

He is active in the Sailing community as a member in several committees at the Greek Sailing Federation. In 2016 he has been elected as a member of the board at the Greek Sailing Federation where he is now the 3^rd Vice President with responsibility for Northern Greece.

He is married and has two children, George and Despina.
