– EDUCATIONAL TRAINING

He graduated from the Officers’ School of the HELLENIC HOME GUARD in 1977.
He studied at the Continuing Education & Training Schools of the Hellenic Police and the Greek Armed Forces.
He was retrained in Police Schools in Europe & the USA.
He participated in EU working groups, as well as in TASK-FORCE – Council of Police Chiefs of EU Member States.

– WORK EXPERIENCE

By Decision of the KY.S.E.A., Anastasios was placed in the position of Chief of the Greek Police (28/02/2006 – 26/02/2008).
Upon completion of his term as Chief, he was awarded by a decision of the KY.S.E.A. the title of Honorary Head of the Corps.
He was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant General on 05/10/2004 and placed in the position of Chief of Staff of the Police Headquarters.
At the rank of Lieutenant General, he successively served as Deputy General Police Director of Attica, Head of the Administrative Branch of the Headquarters & prepared the Corps for the 2004 Olympiad.
In the rank of Brigadier General, he served consecutively as General Police Director of the Region of Central Greece and Deputy General Police Director of Attica (G.A.D.A.).

– POLITICAL ACTIVITY

He had a candidate with the ND in the European elections of May 25, 2014 & took 13th place among his 42 fellow candidates.
In the elections of January 25, 2015, he was elected as the first Member of Parliament for N. Evros.In the elections of September 20, 2015, he was elected as the only Member of Parliament of the ND. throughout Thrace & which he represented…
In the Elections of July 7th, 2019, he was re-elected & again first in the crosshairs as an Evros MP.
In the Elections of June 25th, 2023, he was re-elected as the third member of parliament for N. Evros.
