Christodoulos Topsidis
Christodoulos Topsidis | Regional Governor of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace
Christodoulos Topsidis was elected Regional Governor of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace in the elections of 15 October 2023, leading the “Regional Composition” party and took office on 1 January 2024.
His involvement with politics and especially with local government had begun in 2018, when he founded the “Regional Composition” faction, with which he served as the major opposition party in the Regional Council of Macedonia during the period 2019-2023.
From 2011 until today he is the president of the Chamber of Evros, serving the chamber institution with dedication. As part of his presidency of the Chamber of Evros, he chaired all the organizing committees of the Alexpo trade fairs, as well as conferences and other major events, always with the theme of strengthening and promoting entrepreneurship, extroversion and support of local products.
He was the chairman of the Regional Council of Chambers of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace, under which the six Chambers of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace organized joint actions and claims.
His business activities were mainly in the catering, retail and service industries. He holds a degree in Economics and Management and an MBA in Business Administration.
He comes from Nea Vyssa in the Municipality of Orestiada, resides permanently in Alexandroupolis, is married and is the father of four children.
