Anastasios Nikolaidis was born in 1974 in Esslingen, Germany, to immigrant parents and grew up in Nea Amissos, Drama, Greece. He studied at the Department of Civil Engineering Works in the School of Technological Applications at the Technological Educational Institute (TEI) of Serres. He was elected as a Member of Parliament for the Drama constituency in the 2023 elections and was re-elected in June of the same year. He is responsible for the Parliamentary Sector for Infrastructure and Transport Control within the Parliamentary Group of PASOK – Movement for Change. He is also a member of the Standing Committee on Production and Trade and serves as Vice President of the Special Standing Committee on Road Safety in the Hellenic Parliament. From 2000 to 2007, he worked in the construction sector as an engineer on tunnel projects for the Egnatia Odos motorway and the Athens Metro. From 2007 to 2015, he served as a Director in marble extraction and processing companies in Drama. Since 2015, he has run a Technical Office in Drama, specializing in a wide range of industrial business licensing and providing consultancy services to marble enterprises. Since 2019, he has also been active in the hospitality sector as the owner of hotel businesses. He has served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Association of Marble Enterprises of Macedonia and Thrace, as well as President of the cultural and sports association “VOREIOI.” He is married and the father of three children.
